Biosketch
Ricardo Padilla is an oral and maxillofacial pathologist. He was born in Guatemala. He is a diplomate of The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, and a fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
He has been at UNC Adams School of Dentistry since 2002 as a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Diagnostic Sciences. Padilla is an active member of Carolina Dentistry where his practice includes clinical oral pathology and he participates in the school’s biopsy service.
He teaches dental students, residents and dental hygiene students, as well as instructs a variety of continuing education courses. He has been the program director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Advanced Education Program since 2006.
