ASOD fur babies compete in March Madness Bark-It

Brody took the top prize in this year's Bark-It event.

As the thrill of March Madness gripped Carolina during the NCAA basketball tournaments, Adams School of Dentistry students, residents, faculty and staff got into the spirit of things with events, food and fun. One event that’s beloved by all lets ASOD show off their furry friends – the annual Bark-It pet face-off.

The Bark-It features a complete bracket with 64 entries – dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more – and helps raise funds for the David J. Hall Orthodontics Graduation Celebration Fund. Each year, ASOD votes on the cutest, the most compelling, the most unusual, all to discover the ultimate winner, the best in show! This year’s honor goes to Blake Elder’s very good boy, Brody!

“The BARK-It is fun for pet-lovers of all kinds. Who doesn’t crack a smile when they see a glam shot of an adorable pet or learn about their silly quirks? Pets bring people together! The March Madness format falls right in line with the enthusiasm of such a spirited basketball community here at the ASOD which makes for a fun and inclusive take on the competition. We have been so grateful for the outpouring of support for this event, and we look forward to bringing back the “Madness” year after year,” said event organizers.

Without further ado, the stars of the Bark-It!
