Francesco Demayo

Francesco DeMayo, Endodontics Class of 2024, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago, a Masters of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, and a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

During dental school, DeMayo devoted his time to teaching as a preclinical teaching assistant in the general restorative dentistry lab course and volunteering as a student leader at the Gompers Health Fair and African People’s Education and Defense Fund Uhuru Health Festival in West Philadelphia. Furthermore, he devoted much of his time to research as an Associate Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics contributing to several publications in peer-reviewed dental journals and as a Scientific Journal Reviewer for Quintessence International Dental Journal. During this time, he was inducted into the Matthew Cryer Honor Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.

In his spare time, DeMayo enjoys sports, travel, and spending time with his wife, Leana, and his daughter, Gabriella.
