Ashleigh Kmentt, Orthodontics Class of 2025, grew up in small-town Kirtland, Ohio in the suburbs of Cleveland with her parents and younger brother. Around the age of 16, she began working for her father’s private practice in orthodontics–and never looked back!

Ashleigh graduated from Summa Cum Laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Pre-Medical studies and Minors in Nutrition and Molecular Biology. At Miami, she enjoyed her time on the club rowing team, serving on the executive board of her sorority, tutoring general chemistry, and spending a semester abroad in Luxembourg.

After college, she moved home to the Cleveland area to attend Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine. Ashleigh served as the president of her class and later, Student Body President, alongside her involvement and leadership in the Orthodontics Club, Delta Sigma Delta, and Women in Dentistry. Throughout dental school, she also remained heavily involved in assistant coaching the women’s soccer team from her high school alma mater, leading off-season strength and conditioning and helping to coach the team to their first state championship title in 2020!

Ashleigh is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to pursue her orthodontic training under the UNC legacy. The Chapel Hill area has tons to offer for her fitness-enthusiast, outdoor-pursuant, and major “foodie” lifestyle. The “Carolina Fever” is here to stay!
