SNDA Recognition of Achievement

Mr. Thomas Luten, Director of Student Services, was recently recognized at the Annual Student National Dental Association (SNDA) Senior Awards and Alumni Banquet.  He was honored for his many contributions to UNC School of Dentistry with regards to increasing minority representation.  By increasing the number of universities and colleges recruited, he has assisted in reaching an all-time high for African American and Latino student enrollment.  He has also served as an advisor to the Student National Dental Association, the Hispanic Dental Association, and the Asian American Dental Association.  Mr. Luten demonstrates a genuine concern for the welfare of all students here at UNC School of Dentistry and he has constantly proven himself to be an advocate for our needs.
