Ed Kanoy Named Chair of Prosthodontics
Dean John Stamm announced today that Dr. B. Ed Kanoy has been recommended to the University as the new Chair of Prosthodontics. This appointment is effective 1 July 2002, and extends for a five-year term.
The School was very fortunate to have a small but very strong list of highly qualified candidates from which to select a new chair. The search was extraordinarily thorough, though the University’s current budget difficulties did have a bearing on the process. Nevertheless, the School is very fortunate that a widely respected and gifted teacher, clinician, and administrator in the person of Dr. Kanoy has agreed to lead the Department.
“I have indicated to Dr. Kanoy that with a very talented and dedicated faculty in place, he and the faculty, as well as the staff and the graduate residents, should consider that the Department is turning to a new chapter as it enters the next five years,” said Dean Stamm. “Please welcome Dr. Kanoy to his new responsibility as Chair, Department of Prosthodontics and extend to him your fullest support.”
