Research Summary
Dr. Sulaiman is a clinician that is passionate about bridging the gap between research of dental materials and clinical application. His research focuses on maximizing the clinical relevance of in-vitro testing through the use of oral simulators, such as chewing and toothbrush simulators. Furthermore, conducting multidisciplinary translational research that includes in-vitro investigations of biomaterials and their biocompatibility can yield the highest level of clinical relevance. Creating innovative biomaterials and conducting tests in an in vitro setting can serve as a blueprint for future clinical research.
The unique field of biomaterials transcends multiple disciplines in dentistry, making collaboration with other disciplines a vital component of the lab’s mission.
