Overview
Leena Balicat, MS, RDH, is a clinical assistant professor in the dental hygiene program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology, Endodontics, and Dental Hygiene. In her current role, she works with undergraduate dental hygiene students in didactic and clinical education. She has active roles in committee services and research. She has published peer-review articles in scientific journals and presented her research nationally. Aside from teaching and research, she practices clinically in the ASOD Dental Faculty Practice. Prior to academia, she worked as a dental hygienist in private practice for several years.
