Areas of Expertise
- Lead for the CODA accreditation of the academic programs of the UNC Adams School of Dentistry including organization and orchestration of the self-study process and material preparation for the DDS program.
- Assist the School in the transformation of education and pedagogy through the use of innovative and game-changing technologies, including those in simulation and virtual immersive reality.
- Collaborate with faculty and educational staff across the curriculum with a focus on academic and operational processes, including curriculum mapping, pedagogy, and skills development across all years of the DDS curriculum.
Overview
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Ann earned a B.S. in Ed. from Illinois State University. She went on to complete a Paralegal Certificate from Roosevelt University in Chicago. After completing the certificate program, Ann worked as a title examiner at Chicago Title and Trust and then went back to teaching English at K-12 schools where technology became her focus. To become knowledgeable in technology, she completed an M. Ed. in Educational Technology. Ann worked for two medical schools and the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry as an Educational Technology Director and also directed their accreditation efforts.
