Overview
Amanda Finger Stadler, DDS, MSD, MS, PhD, is the current Periodontology Predoctoral Program Director at the Adams School of Dentistry. She is a Board Certified Periodontist and holds a position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology, Endodontics and Dental Hygiene.
Stadler received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Federal University of Paraná, in Curitiba, Brazil. She earned her master’s degree and specialized in periodontology from the same institution, and her doctorate degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She completed her second master’s degree and residency program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and become a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She participated in the 2024 cohort of the ADEA Emerging Leaders Program.
She has been the recipient of several awards, including the Educator’s Scholarship and New Periodontist Award from the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Resident Beyond Excellence from the University of North Carolina. Stadler has published chapter textbooks, authored more than 20 journal articles, and given invited presentations internationally.
