Frank McIver is a professor of pediatric dentistry at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.

McIver’s teaching responsibilities include dental growth and development, patient management, dental care for disabled people, and dental care for adolescents. Current research interests involve child behavior guidance, and assessment of dental caries risk. His work has been published in several books and journal articles.

He has an active interest in the delivery of oral health care to both children and adults who have developmental disabilities. Also, he maintains a part-time private practice within the School of Dentistry where he treats children with a variety of challenging problems.
