About the Dental Faculty Practice
UNC Adams School of Dentistry Dental Faculty Practice (DFP) is a group practice that promotes the health and wellness of our patients and the success of our School.
We are fully licensed dentists, dental hygienists and specialists who provide general and specialized care. Our faculty practice is just like a regular dental office but has access to any specialist you may need in one convenient location.
Services Offered
A team of specialists who work together to create and update the patients’ health care plan.
Licensed hygienists are health care professionals who specialize in preventing and treating oral diseases.
Endodontics provides services aimed at the prevention and treatment of dental pain and discomfort.
General dentists and dental hygienists provide comprehensive care, including cleanings, checkups, and more.
Geriatrics and Special Care clinics provide specialized treatment for patients with closed head injury, epilepsy, rheumatoid arthritis, Alzheimer’s Disease, and more.
Where the teeth are lost to an accident, disease, or have been missing since birth dental implants can be the next best thing to natural teeth.
Operative dentists provide general dental care with a focus on conservative esthetic procedures.
These specialists are experts in the bone, skin and muscles of the face, mouth, and jaw.
Orofacial pain specialists assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex, chronic pain in the mouth, jaw, and face.
Orthodontics maintain dental health by straightening teeth and fixing bites.

Patients with mobility challenges should park in the Ambulatory Care (ACC) lot and take the free shuttles to the school. Riders will need to inform the shuttle their destination is the dental school. The patient or clinic will need to call the shuttle for pick-up at (984) 974-0465 to return them to ACC parking.
