Lisa Mauldin has experienced the transformative effects of her 17-year career at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, witnessing firsthand the impact of oral health care and its ability to change patients’ lives.

Mauldin started at ASOD in 2007 at the front desk in Academic Affairs, where she had the opportunity to work with people from many different roles and departments across the school. In 2008, she moved into a new role as the Predoctoral Program Coordinator in the Pediatric Dentistry department. In 2019, she transitioned into her current role as the department manager.

Mauldin was recently honored with a H.E.A.R.T. award. The H.E.A.R.T (“Helping Everyone Achieve Results Together”) award recognizes staff whose contributions to the ASOD community have been substantial and who embody the shared values of service and teamwork.
