Steven Hancock

Steven Hancock, Orthodontics Class of 2023, grew up in Davidson, North Carolina, spending time on Lake Norman. He attended East Carolina University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. In college, Dr. Hancock was a four-year member of the ECU marching band and basketball pep band where he played the trumpet.

After graduation, he accepted a position as a quality engineer for a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. After two years in the work force, he discovered a passion for leadership and service and found his interest in dentistry. Hancock received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinction at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry and is excited and grateful for the opportunity to continue his studies in Chapel Hill to pursue a master’s degree in orthodontics.

In his spare time, Dr. Hancock enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and his golden retriever, Wheeler. His interests include golfing, traveling, hunting, and watching college sports.
