Orthodontics Residents

Sara Daniel

Sara Daniel, Orthodontics Class of 2023, grew up in Miami, Florida, but spent a great deal of time in her home country, Haiti. Her early years were spent trying to keep up with her sister and two older brothers who are ten, twelve and fifteen years older, respectively. Having older siblings to look up to helped her vicariously explore many different career paths before delving full force into the world of dentistry.

Daniel completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, minoring in chemistry. After undergrad, she moved to Philadelphia to complete her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Having a mother who is a registered nurse, and a father who is a civil engineer, it seemed quite fitting that Daniel became passionate about a specialty that is a great mix of engineering principles and medicine – orthodontics.

She is very excited to be an orthodontics resident at UNC Adams School of Dentistry, and to explore all that North Carolina has to offer. In her free time Dr. Daniel loves to travel, read books, learn new recipes, and spend time with loved ones.
