Auvi Tran
Auvi Tran, Orthodontics Class of 2023, grew up in Plano, a city just north of Dallas, Texas, with her parents and two younger brothers. Before college, she spent several years as a competitive junior tennis player consistently ranked in the top 10 in Texas.
She went on to complete her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Dallas where she majored in biology, minored in visual arts, and brought home the school’s historically first NCAA National Championships as the tennis team captain all four years.
Striving for new experiences and culture, Tran then moved west to attend the University of California at San Francisco, School of Dentistry to attain her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Now she is on the opposite coast feeling extraordinarily grateful for the opportunity to learn orthodontics at the distinguished UNC Adams School of Dentistry!
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family and friends, swimming, designing digital art, binging Netflix shows, and eating mac n’ cheese.
