Allen Rapolla II, Orthodontics Class of 2022, grew up on the Pacific island of Guam. His early years were spent climbing coconut trees at the beach and avoiding being chased by wild pigs. He moved to San Diego to attend high school and received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of California-San Diego.
After working as a dental assistant for a year, he attended the UCLA School of Dentistry to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While in Los Angeles, Rapolla was a part of many dental mission trips to Mexico which sparked his interest in working with children.
Rapolla received his certificate in pediatric dentistry from the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. He met his beautiful wife, Sandi, in Dallas, Texas, and worked in private practice before deciding to expand his knowledge in orthodontics at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, traveling, cooking and being outdoors.
