Moody Begins as Assistant Director of Development

Effective July 24, Addie Moody began her appointment as assistant director of development in the UNC School of Dentistry’s Office of Advancement.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to return to Carolina in this capacity,” said Moody. “It’s an incredibly exciting time across campus, and especially at the School of Dentistry as we plan strategically for excellence and lasting success. I look forward to working with our students, alumni and donors to build on the existing momentum.”

As assistant director of development, Moody will lead the annual fund program, coordinating direct mail, web and phonathon campaigns. She will also focus her fundraising on unrestricted funds, which support the school and its departments, student aid and faculty support funds, class gifts, and capital projects. Additionally, Moody will serve as the executive director of the UNC Dental Alumni Association.

“We are delighted that Addie has joined the School of Dentistry,” said Paul Gardner, associate dean for advancement and executive director of the Dental Foundation of North Carolina. “The experience she brings from UNC REX Healthcare and the Girl Scouts of America is an excellent fit with the work she’ll do here. A Carolina grad, she’s a true-blue Tar Heel and will be a terrific representative for our School of Dentistry.”

Moody earned her Bachelor of Arts in public policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012. Most recently, Moody had served as a development associate at UNC REX Healthcare, a role she transitioned to after serving as the donor relations coordinator. Prior to her work at UNC REX Healthcare, Moody worked with the Girl Scouts of America for more than two years, specializing in membership and development work.
