Wright Elected to Board of Directors for American Association of Dental Research

Dr. Tim Wright, chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, was recently elected to serve as a member at large on the American Association of Dental Research (AADR) Board of Directors. Wright will hold the position until 2016. The AADR, a division of the International Association for Dental Research, promotes the advancement of research in sciences pertaining to the oral cavity and craniofacial complex.

As a member at large for AADR’s Board of Directors, Wright will work with AADR leadership and assist with strategic planning and operation of the organization.

“It’s an honor to be able to continue to serve with the leadership of AADR and help advance research that is directed at improving peoples’ lives,” said Wright. “It is really a pleasure to represent the school and pediatric dentistry through this appointment.”

Wright, a member of AADR since 1980, recently completed serving in the association’s Mineralized Tissue Group leadership that culminated with one year as president.
The association is the largest organization in oral health care research representing researchers across the country and strives to advance research, support the oral health research community and facilitate the sharing of research findings.
