Guthmiller Appointed Associate Editor for Oral Health at MedEdPORTAL
Dr. Janet Guthmiller, associate dean for academic affairs, was appointed as the new associate editor for oral health at MedEdPORTAL Publications.
As an associate editor, Guthmiller will apply her extensive experience in dental education, research, service and administration to encourage submissions for MedEdPORTAL. She will also be responsible for securing reviewers and promoting MedEdPORTAL Publications to the dental education community.
“I’m excited about this opportunity within MedEdPORTAL,” said Guthmiller. “It will be invigorating to promote MedEdPORTAL and encourage submissions by dental faculty as well as collaborative efforts of health affairs faculty regarding interprofessional educational models and assessments.”
In this role, Dr. Guthmiller will work alongside staff from both the American Dental Education Association and the Association of American Medical Colleges, as well as Dr. Christopher Candler, MedEdPORTAL editor-in-chief.

MedEdPORTAL is a free publication service provided by the Association of American Medical Colleges in partnership with the American Dental Education Association. It strives to promote educational scholarship and collaboration by facilitating the open exchange of peer-reviewed health education teaching and assessment resources.
