Dental Practice Management Expert to Present Dr. John E. Chandler III Lecture

Dianne Glasscoe, owner of Professional Dental Management in Lexington and author of RDH magazine’s “Staff Rx” column will present the Dr. John E. Chandler III Lecture from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002 in Chapel Hill. Chandler established the lecture series with a contribution to the Dental Foundation of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999.

A 1967 graduate of the UNC School of Dentistry, Chandler has practiced dentistry in Greensboro for 35 years. He also is the president of Chandler Foods, a family-run food distribution company established by his father in 1955. In addition to his love of dentistry, Chandler has created several historical dioramas for museum exhibits, and is a painter and avid gardener.

Glasscoe has established herself as a leader in the field throughout her 30-year career in dentistry. In addition to her experience in the various facets of dental office operation, Glasscoe has a bachelor’s degree in human resource management and has published articles in Dental Economics, Dental Practice Report, Dentistry Today, Dental Graduate, Dental Equipment and Materials, and RDH. Best known for her “Staff Rx” column, Glasscoe addresses practice management problems faced by dental professionals across the United States.

As a consultant for dental offices across the country, Glasscoe has implemented programs that raise the level of productivity, efficiency and profitability. A member of the National Speakers Association, Carolina Speaking Association and the Linda Miles Speaking/Consulting Network, Glasscoe has presented on a wide range of topics to dental audiences across the country.

She served as an adjunct faculty member at Guilford Technical Community College in the dental hygiene department and is a member of the ADHA and the Christian Medical/Dental Association.

The Chandler Lecture is open to all faculty and students, and THREE HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN to all STUDENTS who attend. Thanks to Dr. Chandler’s generous gift to the Dental Foundation, the lecture is offered free of charge. Interested individuals should sign up in Room 186 of the Dental Office Building by February 8.
