Two School of Dentistry graduates were appointed to the dental hygiene faculty July 1, 2001. Stacy Chichester, MS 2000, and Charlotte Peterson, MS ’94, were named clinical assistant professor and clinical associate professor, respectively, in the department of dental ecology.

Chichester came to Chapel Hill from Battle Creek, Mich. She received an undergraduate degree in 1995 from the Siena Heights University and a master’s in dental hygiene education in 2000 from UNC-CH. Following graduation last year, she was appointed visiting clinical assistant professor in dental ecology.

Peterson earned her undergraduate and master’s in dental hygiene education at UNC-CH. Prior to her recent appointment, she was at the School of Dentistry as adjunct faculty. She held previous positions at the school as a graduate teaching assistant and a visiting clinical assistant professor. Her experience also includes private practice and department head of dental hygiene at Catawba Valley Community College.
